Drift Privacy Policy

This policy explains what Drift collects, why it is used, and how users can delete their account.

Information We Collect

  • Apple sign-in account identifier used to create and secure your account.
  • Approximate device location evidence when you create, discover, open, or reply to bottles.
  • Bottle text, replies, reports, blocks, timestamps, and related moderation records.
  • Security data required for Apple App Attest and abuse prevention.

How We Use Information

  • Show nearby bottles within the product's location limits.
  • Verify whether you are close enough to open or reply to a bottle.
  • Operate reports, blocks, account deletion, and anti-abuse controls.
  • Maintain service security and diagnose operational issues.

Location

Location is used for app functionality. Drift does not provide a public endpoint that lists all bottle locations. The map feed is limited by the user's current location and account ownership.

User Content

Bottles and replies are user-generated content. Other users near a bottle may see its pin, content, and replies according to the app's distance rules.

Account Deletion

You can delete your account in the Drift app under Settings. Deletion removes your account, bottles, replies, reports, audit events, App Attest records, and Sign in with Apple credential record from Drift.
